Summer Reading

“One benefit of summer was that each day we had more light to read by.”

-from Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls

Now that summer is here, it’s time to get into a different rhythm and make time for the things we often neglect, such as reading for pleasure. Some Scots have a little assigned  reading, but others will have free choice of books as long as they read at least one before school begins in August. Whatever your grade, we at Scots library urge you to visit a library online or in person to get inspiration and ideas for summer reading. Summer school hours for HPHS are M-Th 7:30 am-1:00pm from June 5th-29th. Also, please visit our friends at Highland Park or University Park Public Libraries.
