Mr. Smith’s creative writing classes and the library are teaming up this month to participate in National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo). Students and teachers have challenged themselves to complete a novel during the month of November. A daunting task but one worth taking on!
This month the library is hosting NaNoWriMo Write Ins every Wednesday (and the Tuesday before Thanksgiving break) during all lunches. We’ll provide a quiet space for writing, snacks, and writing prompts and you bring your best writing skills. In fact we’ve enjoyed it so much, we’re hosting a Wednesday writing group for the rest of the school year!
On Wednesday, November 19th from 6:00 P.M.-9:00 P.M. become a Night Writer at the HPHS Scots library. Young Adult author, Sonia Gensler, will be here to provide writing advice, answer questions, and help with that old troll, writer’s block. Check out her novel, The Dark Between, from the HPHS Scots Library. All are welcome. Come write with us!
If you need a little motivation, check out these NaNoWriMo success stories!
